Its that stage of the tournament where a moment of brilliance, a moment of inspiration or just a small error can be the difference between the team continuing on the path to glory or vanishing into oblivion. 30th June Semi-finals Starting with the semi-finals, all four teams making it to this round were fit and raring to go, with both the matches having a lot of promise for the neutrals. Let us take a look at the results: Semi-Final 1: Xolo Pd vs. Marcom 2 This match had a lot of promise and everyone was looking forward to witnessing a great contest. But, within the first few seconds it was quite clear that there was one team that was playing the game and other team was playing catch up. To keep it as simple as possible, Marcom 2 was steamrolled by the class of Xolo Pd. The final result was 5-0, with Pankaj and Ashish K scoring 1 goal each and Paramjeet scoring 2. Semi-Final 2: UPB vs. Product After the first semi-final being a completely one sided affair, this match returned a semblance of balance. Both teams played to the best of their abilities, cancelling out each others efforts. The teams played quality football and kept this match very tight. This closely contested in the end UPB emerged as winners by a slender margin of 1-0, with Shailendra Singh getting the only goal of the match. 1st July Final: Xolo Pd vs. UPB The two strongest teams in the tournament, Xolo Pd and UPB, reached the final. Both these teams came into the match with different approaches to their games. The key players for both sides were firing on all cylinders and the match had a lot of promise. The match began as a closely contested game, but slowly and surely the momentum started shifting towards Xolo Pd. As they began to see more of the ball, the team began to assert control on the match. This control was soon converted into goals and Xolo Pd ran out 4-0 winners. Along with the trophy for winning the tournament, there were more trophies waiting for Xolo Pd, with Paramjeet Singh winning the Golden Boot for being the highest scorer in the tournament with 8 goals. Great football was played, great goals were scored and in the end the team that played free-flowing football won the tournament.
