Lava Iris Alfa gets FOTA Upgrade

Lava’s smartphone, Iris Alfa has started receiving a new software update. The FOTA update will improve the camera performance and offer an improved user experience.

Launched in January this year, Iris Alfa runs on Android v4.4 Kitkat and sports a 12.7cm (5.0) IPS fully laminated screen. Powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core processor with 1GB RAM, the Iris Alfa comes with  8GB inbuilt storage, which is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). It sports an 5 MP rear camera with an auto focus and a BSI sensor along with an LED flash to boot.

The steps below will help you update your device.

Pre-condition:

• Ensure that enough space around 20 MB (in phone memory/in SD card) is available in handset
• Device should be connected to a healthy network (Preferable Wi-Fi)
• Battery must be charged around 50%

Process:

• Go to Menu-> Settings-> About Phone-> System Updates-> the device will detect the package present Online
• Click “OK” to download
• Once download done, Click the option of “Install Update”
• Once Installation is finished, Phone will upgrade to software Version LAVA_iris alfa_S110_20150316
