FOTA Update on Lava Iris X1 and Lava Iris X5 000 November 4, 2014July 13, 2017 Lava International ltd. Lava Mobiles has rolled out a FOTA upgrade to all Iris X1 and Iris X5 devices, in order to solve the auto restart issue faced in certain phones. This upgrade includes improvements and bug fixes. The process for the FOTA upgrade is as following: Pre-condition Phone must be connected to the internet (preferable over Wi-Fi) Before upgrading please backup all your data (Contacts/Images/Messages/audio/videos) available in phone The upgrade process consists of the following steps Connect your X1/X5 phone to internet (SIM data/Wi FI) Check for upgrade (Menu>Settings>About Phone>Software update>Check for update>Follow instructions shown thereafter) After upgrade, the device will reboot on its own Once the device is turned on please do a Factory reset once before using new upgrade (Menu>Settings>Backup and reset).
